Top 10 New Embroidery Designs to Stitch
Top 10 New Embroidery Designs to Stitch: We know that staying at home is a challenge for many during these uncertain times. We all struggle with many issues, large and small. We wonder and turn our focus inward on thoughts of what will happen and how will things turn out? Yet if we read from scripture we are told to be still and wait for the Lord. There is nothing that is beyond His ability to provide for our every need. The Lord’s advice to still the troubled heart so His loved ones are so often the same – Be Still.
Yet how can we calm our troubled minds? Keeping our hands and minds busy on things that are directed outwardly may be a help for many. Consider taking on a new project of some sort. If you are handy with needle and thread, pick them up and put them to use. Find a quiet time and space and shut yourself away from others – something that we are encouraged to do at the moment. Consider turning on some pleasant music or an audiobook. And begin.
Machine Embroidery
For some, the work they might enjoy is hand embroidery. For others, it will be sewing something such as a stole. While for others, it might be spending some time doing something fun like machine embroidery.
As we know so many are required to shelter at home for the next several weeks, we have been busy uploading new machine embroidery designs to our website in the hopes that these might provide peace and a sense of usefulness to someone as they create something beautiful for their house of worship.

The first design we would like to share is the Jerusalem Cross Design. This is a lovely design frequently seen embroidered on the front of chasubles or on stoles. The design would be on a burse as well, or maybe even a chalice veil. The design has a large center cross surrounded by 4 smaller crosses. While shown in gold tones, the design can easily be stitched in tones of red or other shades as desired.

The Fleur Cross Floral Accent
During quiet times, we like to look through our vast collection of vintage embroidery designs and recreate them for use again. This Fleur Cross Floral Accent comes to use from the collection of a Monastery in the Boston area that used to make vestments over 100 years ago. While the monastery stopped using these designs in the late 1960s, we are pleased to bring them back to life for a new generation of church vestment makers.
The Stained Glass Cross
The Stained Glass Cross is a variation of the above cross. This might be fun for use on vestments as well as on quilting and crafting projects. With the first communions coming up later this spring, this would make a lovely Bible cover.
