Part 4/5 – The Shepherds’ Visit::While we might seek out the wise and learned for advice, God chose to reveal His Son’s birth to a group of shepherds. These humble and hardworking men were the first to hear the good news from the angels. They rushed to Bethlehem to see the newborn King and spread the message of Christ’s birth. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. – Luke 2:8-10
