4 Beautiful Liturgical Patterns Every Church Seamstress Needs to See
I’m so pleased to share our latest additions to the Ecclesiastical Sewing Pattern Collection with you. We’ve been working on these for quite some time, and they’re finally ready for your sewing room.
These new patterns blend traditional ecclesiastical elements with practical features that make them both beautiful and functional. Whether you’ve been sewing vestments for years or are just starting out, I think you’ll appreciate the thoughtful details in each design.

Double-Breasted Alb Pattern
This one has quickly become a favorite among our customers. It has that lovely overlapping front with snap closures that creates such a clean look. We added pleats for fullness and a mandarin collar that sits just right. The pockets are positioned where you actually need them, and you can adjust both sleeve and skirt lengths to fit children through adults.

Monastic Alb Pattern
For those who appreciate monastic traditions, this pattern captures that timeless quality. The full skirt drapes beautifully, and the shoulder pleats give you room to move. The pointed cowl collar adds that authentic touch, and yes, we remembered to include pockets because even in sacred spaces, they’re essential.

Traditional Linen Alb
Sometimes the classics are exactly what’s needed. This alb features side gores that make it comfortable for long services. The pattern includes options for decorative trim placement, and naturally, there are pockets tucked discreetly into the design.

Monk Habit Pattern
This might be the most specialized pattern in our new collection—a two-piece set with a tunic and hooded scapular. We paid close attention to proportions while making sure you can adjust details to fit the wearer perfectly.
I’ve been so encouraged by how many of you have already embraced the Double-Breasted Alb pattern. There’s something deeply satisfying about creating garments that connect us to centuries of tradition while serving a meaningful purpose today.
Whether you’re sewing for your church, making a special gift, or adding to your own collection, I hope these patterns bring you joy in the making. I would love to see what you create with these beautiful collections.
