King of Kings – Crown of Glory Liturgical Machine Embroidery Motif:

As Easter approaches, we prepare our hearts and minds to celebrate one of the holiest seasons of the church year calendar.

A few years back, I was searching for a design to use on a white altar hanging set during the Christmas and Easter seasons. I was beginning to feel the search was in vain. And knew that I wanted something special. I had talked through possible design ideas with my pastor, which is always a very good idea.  Still, I failed to find that perfect design. Then, late one night or rather, in the wee morning hours when the eyes were weary and longing for sleep, the page of a vintage book turned to reveal the King of Kings. My eyes were fixed on the page, not daring to blink lest the design should vanish. The image appeared old and faded, with blurred lines almost reaching a point where only a miraculous effort could revive the design’s faded and blurred edges to make it usable again. 

Yet despite all of the obstacles, a faint hope glimmered, just as one goes through the seasons of Advent and Lent, with the promise of Christmas and Easter after the penitential seasons.

The Crown of Glory Design

The countless hours of restoration for the Crown of Glory design took place during the season of Lent. And in the end, The King of King’s design shines forth with joy at the dawning of Christmas and Easter morn.

The King of King’s religious embroidery design is available as an embroidery patch to be applied to a garment. It may also be embroidered on specific vestments.
